OUYAForum Rules - Please contribute
OK, here is a rough version of the rules that I would like to see implemented here. Please suggest any additions/subtractions:
Forum Rules
- No Spam - Spamming will not be tolerated. Spam will include any garbage posts or PMs, self promoting, or promotion of your own websites (except for game developers). OUYAForum will is not to be used as a launching pad for your website, or a means to drive traffic to yoru website.
- Off Topic Posting is Not Permitted - Off topic posting in a thread, that ends up basically hijacking that thread is not permitted. There is no need to go completely off topic, to a point where the conversation turns to something completely unrelated.
- Personal attack are not Permitted - No personal attacks are permitted. This means name calling (in an insulting way), or anything else that directly attacks another member of this forum.
- No selling of merchandise is Permitted - Whether it is an OUYA, an OUYA controller, or anything else. You are not allowed to advertise the selling of or directly buy or sell any products on this forum.
- Ignorant Post Bumping is not Permitted - You are not to bump any posts in a matter that does not contribute to conversation. Do not double post in a way that is done to simply bump your post. Edit your last post instead. Note: developers may post updates made to their games, on a daily basis.
- Show respect for all moderators at all times. Their actions are not up for discussion. If you have an issue with something a moderator has done, please report it by sending a private message to one of the administrators.
- No discussion of illegal activity (such as pirating, drugs, etc) is permitted.
- No Excessively Offensive Posts - Do not excessively post anything (including pictures and videos) which are offensive, hateful, racist, sexist, discriminatory, and/or obscene. This does not count for forum humor, where forum posters are merely joking around with one another.
- OUYA representatives are here to help. No one is making them be here, so we ask that you give a large amount of respect to any & all OUYA employees and representatives that post here. Their personal motives, comments and actions are not endorsed by OUYA themselves and thus should be taken as such. All personal requests (support, shipping, etc.) should continue to be submitted via the appropriate channels, as any single OUYA individual may not be able to speak to your request directly.
- Do not cross posts - Do not post the same post in multiple threads. This includes questions, pictures, and generalities.
- Don't try to take moderation issues into your own hands. Report issues to the forum staff.
- Remember the golden rule! Treat others as you expect to be treated.
Chatbox:
- All the above rules apply in the Chatbox as well.
- All Chatbox conversation should be PG-13. This includes language and topics of discussion.
