Actually these game threads are meant just for that. They are for reviews, and discussions. That means anything about the game can be discussed in these threads.
Ed
I'm not quite sure if you meant my idea could get rather insane, or if we didn't implement anything like the idea I proposed.
In my opinion, since there is a limited amount of Columnists (you have to ask Ed to be one), it would work fine with one folder per Columnist.
Basically, if I wanted to find RiotingSpectre's columns I would simply have to go to ouyaforum.com => Press "OUYA Columns" => Press the "RiotingSpectre - Weekly bla bla bla" folder.
I would then have all of your Columns in one place.
Honestly, this is the only way to keep things on track as more and more columns are being written.
I'm not sure if there are already plans for organizing the "Games/Reviews/Discussions" folder, beyond offering paid stickies, but using most recent post may lend itself to shameless "bumping", so perhaps alphabetical, or by release date?
Also, would it make sense to have a folder for new releases, and then after a period of time (10 days, 1 month, w/e), the games would get moved to the bigger pool with the rest of the game lineup?
You are right that this adds one extra layer of folders, but it makes things way more organized, really. It would also make it easier to find your favorite Columnist posts all in one place.
@wizzdingo: I find an alphabetical sorting to be somewhat of a good idea as well. It will make it easier to find the game you want, and it will make bumping unnecessary.
I won't even go in the Columns page because it's such a mess. Each column really needs it's own folder. If we really don't want to add another layer, we could just break "Columns" out as a separate section of its own. I'm not sure how many columns there are, but I imagine it's enough (more than 5 or so) to warrant it's own section.
Come on, guys. Give Eddie ideas because all I've got left is a server boost before the retail customers come. That and maybe more staff when June rolls around. We can make this forum so much more if we put our heads together. It ain't broken but that doesn't mean we can't glue macaroni on in it. Am I right?
