** Ouya Looking For Buyer Quickly **

I'll be honest my Ouya has been unhooked for a few months when I got my ps4 because my tv only has one hdmi port :(
But! I recently started reading up again here and watching videos on their youtube channel. I'm planning on hooking it back up this weekend to update and play some games :) Having said all of that, this talk about buying out Ouya is confusing me. I thought they already sold to Xiomi or another Chinese company last year some time.

Can somebody give me the cliff notes of Ouya's current state? Sorry

They got an investment from Alibaba and since then nothing has happened except game releases, no news...nothing....

For a while it was beating the riots in Baltimore on Twitter. That says something.

Oh thats right. So why are they checking blogs and internet sites about Xiomi in the weekly dev videos on youtube? Seems weird.

But about Alibaba, wasn't that supposed to be where they were selling the software or the Ouya store to them to sell in China? I thought I remembered reading that right around when I disconnected my Ouya.

Yeah, and now it's no longer trending. It will still be a hot topic for a couple days, but at least it can't get worse.

Do you think they'd buy just to close it? Well 2 on that list might.

A lot of companies absorb other companies simply for their resources, physical and intellectual.

I hope this thread comes to an end quickly but since they won't say anything, I highly doubt it. But if OUYA was for sale then why hire a CFO recently. What they need to do is drop Triplepoint and get a real PR firm, get some marketing going and dig out of the hole instead of digging it deeper. The longer this goes on, the more devs and consumers will be gone. I'm looking at my Twitter feed and it's a freakin obituary and remember when OUYA was a thing...this is beyond stupid to say nothing at all. If they aren't going to close up shop then say "hey we're still here" or something since they have said NOTHING for months and already had people thinking they're dead.

Was talking to a few devs about bringing their games over and 5 said they won't even consider it anymore. Waiting to see what emails I wake up to...

If I wasn't part of the staff here I'd stay out of this damned thread. Beyond pissed off with this crap happening over and over. You don't have to go fight them head on but at least show the damned company is alive and not going anywhere.
