Spec changes, it only took one spec change to doom the icontrolpad 2. And that was for simple led illuminated keys, which cost a few dollars more per unit than planned.
Everytime I see spec changes , I cringe

Latency seems to be an issue with this one. Dang man.
Hmm, seems more backers have reneged on their pledge and canceled . Down now ~ 20 backers since it peaked. Still a fair chance of reaching it's target given they are 75% of the way there. Problem is they have been 75% of the way there for over a week with a slight drift backwards. Backing has to stop going backwards and get going forward again
Yeah true that. From what some of the comments seem to be saying is that there willing to upgrade the SOC to K1 but they want to increase the cost of the pledge I think. Like an extra $100 or something and quite frankly with Shield being a $100 less then that and the specs on Shield being better thats what I'm with in the end. If these guys can go solo with this controller I can see myself getting at least 2 of these if they were anywhere from $50-60, maybe even $65. Other then that looks like I'm with Shield and Ouya although that Razer is still looking nice too. Shield, Ouya 2 and Razer will probably be my new toys at the end of the year. Zrro box is just a little weak for me. If the box was better out the box (lol!!) then it wouldnt be that bad for the price. Hope to see the controller get solo one these days.I know it will never be perfect and the latency will always be there, but if I could get one of these controllers by itself for like $50-60 bucks I'd get it. Other then that I dont think I have an interest for this much more then the controller. Shields specs are worth it for me because even though the other devices that I have now can do some of the things it can do, it can do them better. Not to mention I skipped the last two generations of consoles, so I think I can afford to spend $199 on something I'll probably actually use more for then just gaming. I do plan to game with it though, but on the other hand I got alot of catching up to do on some Ouya gaming as I anxiously await for Ouya 2.

They basically dic-punched everyone with the X1 Shield.
Looks like these guys picked up some momentum on there kickstarter. They were at $150,000 just like two days ago, and now there at $179,000. They Might make there goal if the pledges continue to go at that rate. Then again it seems like anything can happen with these kickstarters. People all might back out the last day. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
I've noticed some odd backing for a while. They have lost 24 backers in the last week or two. Yet the total has increased by about $25K - $30K. If you look at the kicktraq, despite countless days showing people backing out of the project, there have been two days where someone plonked $7K each day, and 1 day (yesterday) where someone plonked down $20K followed by $10K the next. Rich friends/investors wanting it to succeed?
Yeah thats probably it. I still might do this though as I think that controller is cool. I dont know if they'll go solo, but it would be a good marketing move for them. If they dont though then theres prob no hopes of getting that controller, or second hand somewhere maybe but not sure. I'm undecided still on what I'm gonna do. Might just wait till the last day or two and if it looks good maybe I'll go for it. Theres no Questions on Shield and Ouya for me, this was kinda like the wild card. I'm gonna wait a day or two or three and see what it looks like then.
Well, up to $190,000 now, looks like they'll meet their goal. Strange to say the least...
It's getting picked up by "media" so it's bound to get up there. Usual trajectory of a Kickstarter where people won't post stories until they think there is something worth posting.
