The old PS1 DDR games will probably run on one of the popular emulators.
Stepmania hasn't been fully ported to Android, and there's no functional PS2 emulator, so ITG is out of the question. But there are some Android music games that will play .sm files. If any of them support HID controller input then maybe one of those could work for you.
OUYA supports HID input over USB. If either of the above works out, then a USB dance pad, or a PS1/2 or Gamecube dance pad with a USB adaptor should almost certainly work.
I've not tried any of this myself, but it seems realistically feasible. Good luck!

I have a USB Dance Pad. I wonder if it would work as a controller with my OUYA. I will check. THanks for the Heads up, now i know :) Thank you
Hey sightlight,
Let us know how that goes. :D
I tried it using a USB hub and the ouya freezes when I press any pad of the Dance pad. I tried it without the USB hub and the Dance pad work with the ouya as another controller, that is insaney good folks!
EDIT: Even though the emulat0r recognizes the Dance Pad perfectly the emulat0r programers dont seem to support the Dance Pad. I might have to mess more with the settings.
There seems to be stepmania for android but I don't know how to install a google play app on the ouya. I think it is done manually. If anybody would link me on to how to install google play games in the ouya I would very much apretiate it. THank you guys in advance!! YAY
The bit about the USB hub is weird indeed. I've used USB Xbox 360 controllers and hard drives over a hub with no problem. Try a different hub? I've also had USB dance mats that weren't fully HID compliant, so maybe that's part of it? Strange.
I looked on the Play Store recently for Stepmania, but I only found Stapmania. That might work though, if it supports controllers.

flamepanther Super Mod,
Thank you, Now i need to search how to install google play games on the ouya.
Does anyone know if I could request a game?
I would like to get it from the OUYA store, so I dont have to install any "root" programs.
A simple stepmania game that reads .sm files, supports 1080p res and connects to my usb dancing pad or something.
stepmania is akin to Dance Dance Revolution.
Does not have to be anything complecated.
I have been part of a team and we made something very similar in just 2 hours, so its not hard to make.
Can someone please make something like stepmania for the OUYA?
That I can configure my usb dancing pad controller.
I am willing to pay.
Here is a quick screenshot of stepmania:

Please so much, thank you in advance!
I guess the first question is, does your dancepad even get detected by the android os on the OUYA?
Yes it does.
I would love to Dance with my ouya.
What method did you confirm this with? Does it conform to the android controller spec and if so I'd be curious to know what buttons read as what?
