Higher difficulty is hard to describe for a game in this genre. I would say that more complex puzzles without adding complexity in how you go about game progression is a welcome addition. Let me put it this way. Have the puzzles themselves be harder but don't make me walk a mile per destination just to progress through the particular puzzle and the game itself. Vella's story had a lot of backtracking on the cloud and I even got lost in what I was supposed to do because there were a lot of item gathering, vague item merging, and things that didn't really make sense.
