Funny, the sideloaded android YouTube App didn't work for me at all?! Crashed instantly.
I tried this and it seemed as clunky and as buggy as the PS3 version. I still prefer "Tubemate" (and reccomend it if you use a mouse to navigate it) and XBMC's youtube plugin (although dwnloads of videos have stopped for me via that).
Yeah, I prefer the sideloaded Google TV version over the this PS3 looking one, much more faster, smoother, and more compatible. And I've never had freezing problems with it.
Is this a dead thread? I tried the Ouya store's Youtube app when it first came out, and though clunky, it worked. Since I have other options for watching Youtube vids I didn't use this app for awhile. Recently tried it again, and it just won't play ANY video. Any video I try to play just keeps starting and stopping. I uninstall and reinstalled the app several times to my Ouya storage AND my Usb drive storage, and it still doesn't work. Like I said, is this thread dead? The app is useless for me at present and I wonder if anyone else is having similar problems. Thanks in advance for any replies.
It's only a dead thread if no one posts. I'm sure if someone else has issues they will post about it, or at least we would hope so.
Ever since the first update Youtube works near flawlessly for me. Long videos (2+ hours) get unsynched with the audio but I'm unfamiliar with whether this is an Ouya/Android/Youtube issue.
for me its still pretty unstable. videos get out of sync and are frequently stuttering when the app access my USB drive for whatever reason.
I'm still having nothing but good times with this. I just used it for at least 6 hours yesterday, having a little marathon running in the background while I worked on some stuff.
i just realised that the Youtube App for the Wii U looks exactly same (and is much more stable). So is the App on OUYA from Youtube/Google or did Ouya rip it off?
