I saw this just now on OUYA.tv but I can't find them on the OUYA console's Discover. They're in the newly released part of the website but the newest game I'm seeing on the console is iO. Anybody else seeing this?

Quick Update: Searching in the search bar in Discover allows you to find the games and I downloaded Batman which was near ten megabytes. Once I started the game it showed a "Hey, what are you trying to pull? We don't currently support wireless connections. Please connect to an Ethernet port and try again. Hit "O" to try again "A" to exit."
ummm not everyone has ethernet cables to just fling around though... weak... I guess it makes sense if it is cloud thingy though?
Playcast cloud gaming obviously coming to OUYA.

wow...just tried splinter cell and it works pretty good eventhough i'm playing from germany! sure there`s a noticeable lag but its fine for games that do not require super reactiontime. i'm really impressed!
Well, enjoy. I don't have the proper setup to have Ethernet going into my console. I've always been curious about the Lego series but I guess it wasn't meant to be. At least on the OUYA console anyways.Quote:

I've had other means to play the LEGO games but haven't been interested but when I get to try something out then my opinion could change. I was just curious how well it and the other game worked for those that are interested because I'm hoping this Playcast company brings profits to OUYA. I don't have any real way to connect an ethernet cable to my OUYA without running a line through the house, so anything that runs on this service is something that I can't be a part of. That sucks, because if this move is any indication, I'm barred from playing any other impending AAA titles. Was this the thing that was coming down the pipeline that was hinted at when people were up-in-arms about the removal of free-to-try where Julie said that it was a good thing because we'd be seeing more from developers? It's pretty ridiculous to have anything be exclusionary on a product's hardware that's already been paid for. It isn't even a matter of ideology here which is usually what's being argued about, it's a poor logistical decision that segments the userbase.

This is not related to the dropping of free to try, this was in talked wayyy before that (oct 2013 I believe). Plus these games are currently FREE and will have a subscription later once they are done their trial testing. You cannot blame OUYA for another company's practices. On top of that, Most cloud services highly recommend-if not-require Ethernet connectivity. It would have been the same if OnLive was on here and still doing their original practices. These games are PC games that are translated to ouya controllers, that is it for the most part. You may see more AAA PC games come over, but it is extremely unlikely you will see actual Indie games going through that service, or android games going through that service.Quote:

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Due to my house being quite old, I can only have the router in my kitchen which is obviously not my living room where my entertainment stuff is including the OUYA. Well if you consider this an alternative service to Onlive, then this was one of the goals since the Kickstarter. No surprise really. I saw the Onlive requirements of 4Mb minimum so I knew cloud games would be out for me. But I agree it still sucks Hugo...Quote:

I can, however see how it would be annoying to download something only to find out you can't play it. If many more streaming games are going to be part of the eco-system, then OUYA should be putting some sort of warning dialog on the buy/try button about the bandwidth requirement.
