What is ZGameEditor ?

ZGameEditor is a tool for creating small arcade style games, demos and screensavers.

Main features:

• Integrated developer environment where you build, preview and test your game
• Cross-platform: The editor is Windows only, but your applications can also run in Linux, Mac OS X and Android.
• 3D graphics and game play components
• Import bitmaps to use as textures
• Import MIDI-files for music
• Import 3D-models from 3DS-files
• Import sampled waveform audio in RAW-format
• GLSL Vertex and Fragment shader support
• Support for advanced graphics techniques such as multiple render passes and render to texture.

• Real time audio synthesizer
• Xml-based project files: only one file for each project. Easy to edit manually if needed.

Been reading about this one for a while. I kind of like the size limit, might make for some creative compromises.

I'm going to have to read up some more on this when I have some time later. Sounds good :)

You can create simple 3D games really quickly. And if you're having problems, the guys at ZGE forum are very helpful.

Right now I'm finishing the alpha release of the 3D shooter I'm working on. I have yet to find a name...

it's in french but you can google translate it with the flags in the top right menu.
It took me 5 days to do it (only a few hours per day), and adding the OUYA controls and test it on the TV took me 5 minutes yesterday.

That's pretty neat and such a small download too :)
