I may have a bug to report if I can replicate it. I'll post about it later.
I had a bug before this hotfix with issues with the icons for installed, installed to external, FREE, and FREE* that is still there.
I have always stored everything externally but some times it shows that it is stored internally. This isn't entirely new with this update or hotfix. It just randomly happens every once in a while and the fix for me is just moving it back and forth to get the icon right. But after this update there is a cause that isn't random and happens every time. When I reboot the system after it is done scanning I notice that the games from featured that are on screen show as stored internally when they are really stored externally. If I scroll I notice it hasn't done it to the others. It is only the ones that I first see as if the scan messed them up.
For the FREE and FREE*, I noticed that they aren't always correct either. Something I liked about the updates in Play is the categories that are automatically sorted like purchased and A-Z. So, I decided to use favorites like that because I didn't know what to do with it because a big chunk of my favorites are automatically in purchased. So, I decided to make it all the games that are completely free with the FREE icon because I felt that FREE and FREE*(And maybe the premium games in there too) should get their own categories like purchased and either self organize like Play originally did or maybe based on what I contributed to the O-Rank to put what I engaged either last or engage the most up front. It would be a way to automatically sort out games that I am trying out but have yet to purchase to move them to the purchased folder and then the FREE section would be like my "pack-in-games" that can obviously never move to purchased. The reason for that is sometimes I may be looking to shop or just play something that is completely free. An example scenario for playing completely free would be if my nieces come over but I not interested at the time to purchase anything for them to play so I would either send them to purchased games or my "pack-in-games". Anyway, since the completely free games can never be moved to purchased I decided to put them all in favorites as my "pack-in-games". I was also curious how many there are relative to the FREE* ones and just to see if two separate Play categories would be justified(There are almost 300 FREE games). With this update I decided to finally switch to my white OUYA even though I will unfortunately not be able to transfer my save data(I hope there is eventually a solution to this). Therefore I was downloading all of Discover again. What I did was all of the FREE* games I would just use U to download without looking at the details and all the ones that were FREE I would download from the details to be able to favorite. As I was doing it a few times I went into FREE ones but still saw the *Includes in-app purchases and/or the buy button. So, some of the FREE games are really FREE* games and I suspect it is the same the other way around but the FREE* games I had no reason to look in details to click the favorite button.
Anyway, those are my two biggest gripes because they display inaccurate information. I have much more positive feedback and constructive criticism but I will save those for another time because I'm wordy. I'll give one for now though. I think favorite and unfavorite should have a ? mark after them. Sometimes I forget that favorite is a question and think I marked it as a favorite.
The bug fix in this for displaying recommendations I thought was a feature instead of a bug because the system menu on the main screen no longer had ittle Dew, Clark(with the old tile), and Knightmare Tower every time. They are back. :)
Oh, I forgot to mention I don't get FREE or FREE* labels at all in DISCOVER. Are you A-B testing again?
Right after the update, I realised that 300 Mb of internal storage had mysteriously been filled with something.
I go to /cache and what do I see ? A 200 MB file named "ouya-update.zip.reserved_do_no_delete".
@kitsune : You should have put this into the changelog.
What is it for ? Can I delete it as I sometimes need as much internal storage I can possibly get for sideloading reasons.
"Finish him!" Great work team OUYA thank youuuu!!!

It's easy for me to replicate it because I conquered Discover. :) It is still there because after the update it rebooted and the three Sonic games and Rubble N Strafe now show that they are stored internally. You could try downloading those four to external and reboot to see if it happens to you.
I get them in the genres but not on Discover's main screen. I think they should be on the main screen with the update symbol removed for the games that go premium by putting the price there. Technically it is an update but it is confusing because it makes you think it is a download update instead of sending you to the purchase screen.
FREE without asterisk means completely free.
FREE with asterisk should mean that the game is free-to-try, but has in-app purchases (full unlock or other type of free-to-play)
Oh I see, I never browse categories so I missed it. Strange that it shows up there but not on the main page.
Yeah, the update-to-go-premium thing is kind of messed up.
Also, related to the external/internal bug when I move them sometimes the ring stops spinning, it freezes, and requires a reboot. It just happened with Sonic CD.
