Entertaining, if not a bit repetitive. Mimics my rage when playing poorly-designed games, although I'm not as dramatic.
This video review is pretty annoying.
All the swearing and shouting, it has become an annoying trend...
Exactly. I had to turn the video off within 5 seconds of hearing that guys' idiotic voice. The sad thing is people like that think they're being clever when in fact they are just being idiots.Quote:

The game looks pretty simplistic on the video, which isn't a problem to me, but it looks a bit broken too...
It's a perfectly functional platformer with a kinda wonky walking animation. Still, everything works when it should and it's got a bit of action to it with the acorn-chucking, but it doesn't quite scream must-have. However, it's a solid foundation for something down the line because it it does at least work well and is enjoyable - just not all that enjoyable.

I dislike this sort of let's plays. It really annoys me when the makers work themselves into an obviously fake bout of rage. Their assumption that excessive volume and profanity are a valid substitute for entertaining banter are most definitely incorrect.
While Unreal Land is indeed not a particularly well put together game - it's at least mostly functional and generally bug-free.
I would not mind a super-simple, but colorful and responsive platformer game for my OUYA. It's probably the only sort of game that would keep my 5-yo's attention for longer than a passing glance. Alas - Unreal Land is not that platformer - it's too frustrating, too ugly and too poorly designed. I guess I'll have to make that platformer myself at some point, though to please my kid it will probably have to star a shark in some capacity.
