Thought I'd share this with everyone since it's a quick, easy, cheap and reversible way to customize your OUYA controllers. Used Plasti Dip (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Performix-Brand-11-oz-Plasti-Dip-Black-Rubber-Coating-Spray-11203-6/100131010#.Uligv2TwJbV). Coolest thing is, if you get tired of it, you can just peel it right off.

Wow that's pretty slick lookin', Salvo. Color me a little jealous that I'm talentless in this area and can't do this kind of stuff myself :p

If you can point an aerosol can and spray, you can do this. It's that easy. Seriously.

You underestimate how few talents I have with my hands. What you're thinking along with gaming and anything computer is just about it.
Gotta love that knife juggling.

I plasti-dipped my console (http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?4103-My-modz&highlight=Modz) the first few weeks I got it on my hands. It peeled of overtime though. I only used a little bit that I had left on my can and didn't give it a full treatment, so maybe it was that. I'll have to try again. As for controllers, I wouldn't touch them. I've had my few bad experiences with modding controllers. All the sweat, raging and rubbing *might* make it peel off. Or if it doesn't, it *might* look a bit ugly after some use.

Yeah, doesn't look like you had enough for full, even coats. I'd be wary of "dipping" the console. The OUYA's case acts as a heat sink and the Plasti Dip as an insulator.

I'm not worried about the durability on the controllers, though. Worst case scenario, I have to retouch them every so often. I don't think it's going to be a problem, though. This stuff lasts for a while on the outside of people's cars.

The case is a heat sink... I didn't know that.

Yep. I plasti-dipped my car's fuel door before the console and it's still there. It has been through sun, wind and rain and it's as good as new.

Plati dip is great for weather, but only time will tell if it can withstand constant physical contact with your hands.

As far as the heat sink goes, I have mine wrapped in vinyl and it isn't even warm to the touch most of the time, even after use of xbmc. There is a thickness and insulating factor with the plasti dip, but it would be really easy to remove if it does get hot.
