Hi there.
I work as a programming teacher in a High School here in Rio de Janeiro. I've always used gaming development to make the students more interested in learning code.
Since mid-year, I've been bringing the Ouya to school, so the students could code for it. One of my classes is now working on this game, that will be released on Ouya by the end of the year.
It's a 1-4 player competitive game, where each player must try to climb the mountain by jumping on the crates. Everytime a player is left behind, they lose a life. After only 1 player is left, he is the winner.
You can shoot at other players and use melee attacks to stop them.
This video is a very early version of the game (it barely has any sound ,and there are some other features they've added that's not in this video yet), but it gives an idea of how the game will be. It's showing 4 AI players fighting each other.
The final game will have 8 different characters with different stats and features.
