Do you remember classic games like Desert Strike, Tiger Heli, Air Rescue, etc.??

Hell-IX (read it as roman numeral Hell "Nine") is a Combat & Rescue game based on classic games like Desert Strike, Tiger Heli, Air Rescue and others. The concept is very simple, take off, search for marines, rescue them and return home meanwhile you’re fighting against the enemy troops.

About us:

Retromade Games Studio was founded 2 years ago by veterans from the advertising and technology industry. We’re developers who not only make games, we play them too.

Our basic philosophy is to return to classic gameplay. If you remember the old coin-up machines and classic home computer like ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Coleco, Atari, etc. we do too and feel our love for those simple games helps draw inspiration. We decided we can make games keeping controls as simple as the classics but with a modern visual twist. New games with a classic soul.

Thanks for read :)

Aether Imperium is one of our favourites, however we are working on our own server side technology for real time combats, meanwhile we are developing single players projects and learning a lot about game developing and visuals. You must understand too we are small studio we have practicaly no fundings and Aether Imperium is a big and ambitious project with a unique gameplay style and cinematographic visuals :)

I used to play Desert Strike for hours at a time trying to get that bit further each time on my old MegaDrive, if this works as well as it looks right now I'll be happy. :D

If this game is not funded on Kickstarter, do you still plan to bring it to OUYA?

I really hope this game gets funded, I only hope that people will spread this kickstarter around on twitter and Facebook so people can know about it.

Inspired by Tiger Heli and Desert Strike?! IM IN!! Looks awesome.. cant wait to play it on the Ouya..

If I back you on Kickstarter and the funds doesn't meet... what will happen with $$$ I put in? Will it be canceled on the Ouya or all together?

Hi all,

Thanks for your interest... I will answer your Kickstarter funding questions.

We are a small studio but we work hard :) We launch KS project to "speed up things", the game will be released for sure, if we get funded the release will be early, if not we will delay a few month, but for sure the game will be released on OUYA and any other platforms (iOS, Android, GameStick, PC, Mac, Linux, Nintendo Wii U)

Kickstarter backers will have the several adventages... became early stage betatesters, get 2x1 licenses (even more)...

Again, thanks to all for your interest on Hell - IX

Oh by the way, here is a gameplay video for alpha version:

We continue working hard with Hell - IX, we added a lot of features, like three camera modes; 3rd Person, First Person and a Classic Isometric (you asked us for and you got it ;) ). well it is not really isometric because we do not want to lose the perspective view but works fine.

On this new alpha version we added a lot of new things like the radar system to guide the player on the huge map about where are the objectives, enemies and stations. We implemented helicopter damages and death and we improved a bit the auto target system (we need to work a bit more on this). We implemented the strafe and orbital movement for copter, this last one it is automatic when a target it is selected.
But we have a lot of work to do still. for example the enemies are very silly and static, we need to make them smart and let them move, scape or chase helicopter even ambush the player.

We thank all your suggestions, we want to make a game for your enjoy. Now, let's take a look to this new gameplay video

Oh, if you play on PC, Mac or Linux too please remember to vote for us on Steam Greenlight http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=162908815
