Is it possible to just download .apk files straight to ur OUYA and hav them run through the software section on the system?

vid: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VvH20sfvS2s

It shows how ur able to just download the XBMC .apk from the web, install and use it no problem.
Would this also work for most games as long as they r an .apk file?

Also I'm aware the vid is kinda crappy but it just goes to show possibilities.

Yes. You can download any .apk through the browser and install it.

Step 1. download an apk from the web
Step 2. Go to the system settings on your ouya/ storage / downloads

From here you can see the APK's you have downloaded and install them just like on any other android device

Yes pretty much any .apk will work fine, except games with DRM (ESPECIALLY the kind that requires to "check in" online)
