Hi everyone.

I'm new to this forum, but very excited about OUYA, which is why I will be releasing Glob the game on it.

Slide, squish and shoot your way through many challenging levels in a colorful 2d world! I will shortly be
working on getting local coop working, which I think would be a big hit on OUYA.

I will continue to post updates on this thread. Thanks for looking

This is adorable!
I am really digging the sound effect for jumps and shooting-plop-sounds and hopping on the bad-guys. really cute sounds without being overly noticeable or annoying.
I also liked the intro music—very friendly and inviting. The later music, which is mostly bass-line, plus some organ a bit later, is cool, too, though very different.
Will you be posting more gameplay with the finalized music and sound design? I'm really looking forward to hearing what y'all create!

Really good to hear about the sound effects/music. That is something I'm really trying get right. I will definitely keep posting updates on here, with new videos and screenshots.

Hey all! Got a new gameplay video. These cliff levels are going to be tough, lots of boulders dropping down on poor Glob!

Seems interesting.
So, there will be different types of game-modes, or are these just random levels?

Thanks for the reply CaptainCapslock. The videos so far are from different levels in the single player. I'm also working on Co-Op for all the single player levels, kind of like the new mario games. There are also plans for VS modes, which I think would be tons of fun. Will post more info as progress continues!

Whoa. Wow. This is really smart music—it provides the right feel for the level without being overbearing or over-orchestrated. And the gesture and woodwinds are really fantastic. Super impressed. Who is the composer? Is he/she classically trained??

Hey Elizabit! Wish I could say the music was made especially for my game, but I'm on a very tight indie budget :D The composer is Kevin MacLeod http://incompetech.com/. I agree with you, his music is really great.

I agree, the music is insanely good. And I love the level design.

I imagine this is what Dr. Seuss: the game would like look.

Sorry I missed your posts and about the long delay since posting! It's funny you mention Dr Suess. Definitely an inspiration for this project :D Development on the game has been going very well. I will be submitting a preview build to Indiecade in the next few days and posting about beta testers soon after that. I recorded a video of the level select screen and the first Boss and uploading it to youtube. Check it out! Thanks for looking

Thanks a lot czoom! I will send you a message when I get the beta out :)

I've got to grab a OUYA really soon for testing. I expect to release it on OUYA very shortly after iOS and Android (shooting for a month or so!))

I'm just loving the look of this so far. Theres nothing else I love more than a solid platformer and this looks like its got a lot of potential. I wonder how else you use your goo body though.

Really appreciate it SharpHills! Im a huge platformer fan too :)

Good question about using your goo body. I'm definitely trying to add fun and unique abilities as the game goes on to keep it fresh. For example there are sections where the ground is also covered in green goo causing you to "surf" at high speeds. Also working on some different types of projectiles that Glob can throw.

I'll keep you all up to date as I get closer to release!

Exciting news on the OUYA front! I just received my OUYA today and already have Glob the game up and running beautifully.
Really impressed with the OUYA overall. I recorded a video of some first level action :D
