Thanks to Andrew Perry on Google+ (https://plus.google.com/113139430620590669231/posts/SboJrcCkEgg), we now have images of the OUYA hardware insides :) Hopefully this helps some hardware hackers make some cool looking OUYA consoles!

Andrew also said:

PCB is about 68x67 mm, and with the fan it sits about 24 mm high.

There are no holes as mounting points on the PCB, it just slots into the case using the the notches at either end (although presumably these might also be used to secure the PCB with small screws if desired).

We've had dev board dimensions for quite a while. It's worth remembering the final piece COULD be slightly different, so remember that while carving that unicorn ivory case ;)

Yeah d_brennen has a great point. The odds are the final unit that ships on March 28th could be quite different.

Actually, Julie has stated many times that the hardware inside the dev units and final are exactly the same. She doesn't specifically mention the size of the chips and whatnot though, but it doesn't sound like she's trying to be vague about it.

I am just wondering what the strangest thing people are going to shove one of these into might be...

I'm gonna make a Vectrex Ouya.

That is by far the best idea I have heard yet. If you actually do this, please for the love of god document it all and shows us pretty pictures. Not to be a downer, but my sister is pretty sick and so as a child I spent a lot of time in the hospital with her and my mom. The one good part of those days was the Vectrex. For some reason the hospital had a good working Vectrex in the little visitors area and I would play it for hours.

Thank you very much.

I would really appreciate higher quality pictures and/or closeups/details on the chips on the console if someone could provide. I am eagerly awaiting my console but i'm international so I would like to start planning my hacks.

Internal storage is my priority, and all my hacks are to be documented, cheap and open-source.
