Hi Everyone,

I have just ordered my OUYA Console and was thinking of some things I'd like to do with it, one of which was a custom controller, I have been thinking about this for a while and the OUYA seems like the perfect platform to have a crack at it.

The main obstacle I can see is how the Controller communicates with the console, I could gut a controller and use the hardware from that but I would rather make my own implementation, the Controller uses Bluetooth and i'm assuming the HID Protocol?? but what data is it actually sending across to the console and how is it formatted? is it a two was process of comms to and from the console?

any help or pointers to where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Graham.

One way you could find out is to make a quick java app that would pair with the controller, receive any input, the printbl out the payload.

Thanks jonbonazza, that would be a possibility when I get my console and controller but I was hoping to start something sooner than that. I could always get the hardware sorted first I suppose.
