Developer Notes

This game is already complete for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Android and OUYA coming soon if all goes well. This was originally meant to be an online HTML game but now I'm going to make it an offline OUYA app via PhoneGap due to major performance issues. Online it runs so slow it isn't playable.

If you run all the files locally it works perfect. It doesn't work in various internet browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, etc so I making it as "semi-native" (if that's what I'm supposed to call it) so it will run cross-platform as a standalone binary that forces the data to only be played with a browser control that works with the given platform. I haven't tested Android's WebView UI yet so whether it will work on OUYA is too be determined.

Product Description

Oh no! You're locked in your vacation cabin! Escape the cabin fever in this point-and-click escape game based on a real vacation cabin in Louis Mountain, Virginia (US). This would have been an online game, so you wouldn't have to download anything, but, it runs way too slow online so much that it's not playable. Since you download the files locally on your computer, the game should run properly.

This reminds me of the saturn era. It looks quite nice in that sense I think :) It looks like the wood is reflective, is that true?

The bed sheets are also reflective, which intentionally makes no sense. Glad you like what you see. :) Also notice the textures are stretched like taffy across surfaces such as the wooden drawers. The bed is wrong in proportion to the size of the room. The chairs and ceiling are too short. Textures are unnaturural, they repeat too noticeably. There're no light bulbs so the light sources come literally out of nowhere, these are common mistakes inexperienced pre-rendered 3D escape game creators make.

This sounds very intentional, and going by the product description you posted, it is to satirize the sub-genre. Nice stuff so far then :)

Linux version is now live. So if anyone who's on linux wants to see this game in action before it's released on OUYA, now you can.
