Just want to show you guys my new OUYA case mod.
I used a Radica Sega Mega Drive for the case, mounted the OUYA upside down, it fits very well without much work.
I managed to use the Sega power LED, but the power button is non functioning, I butchered it a little too much trying to make room for an actual button inside the case.
Instead, I placed a small button where the controller cable came out of the front, removing the need to try to fill it in some how.

There would be very little I would do differently if I were to attempt this project again. I would probably measure my butchering a little better, the OUYA doesn't fit perfectly level inside the case. I also would have tried to mount the power switch upside down (inside the power button) which would maybe remove the need to internal case space to place the button.

- If anyone has a spare power button for a Radica Mega Drive that they might want to donate (just the plastic), let me know :-P

What do you guys think?

[edit] I managed to rehouse the power button in the correct place, so both the power button and led are working.

Now I just need a sega style loading video...

Fun!

I never knew the MDs were that small. Managing to utilize the original power LED is a nice touch. :)

I was going to say I've never seen a Mega Drive that small, it reminds me of the PSone it's literally tiny!

Awesome job you have done, have you notice any improvements with wifi now and other things? With it been inside plastic instead of metal.

To be honest, I never had any issues to start with. My OUYA has always connected to my wifi without problems, even when my Mac (which sits right next to the OUYA) couldn't connect. I never even had any issues with controller lag.
