I got this off eBay for around 10 bucks! All I had to do is put rubber feet on the top and bottom. cant get any easier than that!

A USB fan...simple but creative. Having heat issues?

nope, this is for my living room ouya and its on 8-12 hours a day running XBMC. I have it pulling the air from the bottom. It keeps it noticeably cooler.

Starfighter has some heatsink issues thats for sure. It should never get nearly that high. If i was him I would take that heatsink off and put some artic silver between it or replace that heatsink with another. I bet it is not completely flat and needs to be lapped.

Is you unit running hot? What makes you think you need this?

If I was Starfighter I'd say "I'm planning on replacing the heatsink, yes, and even build a new case with better ventilation, but it'll have to wait until after the summer". :)

One of mine runs xbmc pretty much 24/7 between 3 people and it never has heat issues. If you aren't having problems, I doubt the fan is needed.

Extra ventilation is never a bad thing! When my OUYA is at home, it chills beside my center speaker on it's Lego fan base and when I've got it oot & aboot, it chills on the variable speed USB fan. :D
