Its a good thing they don't try these pranks in areas where its legal to carry firearms lol. I know a few people that running would have been there last response. Still would have scared the hell out of me!

The prank itself reminds me of firearms. I wouldn't see much of a difference between a stranger coming out of the dark towards me while making people's heads explode and moving things with their mind and the times I have had strangers come out of the dark with a gun to rob me. They would both be threatening me with a weapon. One would be a telekinetic mind and other would be a gun. The only difference is that one isn't demanding your money but when you feel like your life is in danger you lose all concern for that $20 in your wallet. After being robbed you don't even feel like your loss of that $20 was how you were violated. It was the threat that feels that way. I have actually had a complete stranger do a prank with a gun. In front of their friends they put a gun in my face and yelled out,"Smith and Wesson Mother F......!" They laughed at how much I was trembling in fear but to me I was about to die and what made it worse was that I was actually robbed a month before that. It was like going through that all over again. So, yeah, if I were armed and that telekinetic priest came at me there would definitely be some shooting. I may be be running in the process but the gun would be used too. If the telekinetic priest was to die I think it would still be self defense even though it was a prank. I think a jury would even determine that I'm not guilty of murder and the prosecutor wouldn't have much of a case by saying something like I should have known that it was a prank because telekinetic powers haven't been demonstrated to even exist. If I'm fearing for my life, my survival instincts kick in, my adrenaline is pumping, and my heart feels close to having a heart attack because I just witnessed an innocent homeless person's head explode then as I made the decision to pull the trigger I did in fact have a demonstration that telekinetic powers do exist. It may have been shown to me after the fact that it wasn't a real demonstration of telekinetic powers but that isn't much different than being shown that you shot someone that was really aiming a toy gun at you. When you feel like your life is in danger it doesn't matter if your life is being threatened with something real or not. What matters is that you believe your life is in danger because you are perceiving a threat to it.

Pretty much what I thought. I'm guessing these were highly controlled with spotters picking out who to prank with the obvious choice being people who don't seem to have concealed weapons and all taking place in an area where it is illegal to carrying weapons.
