So as the title says, myself and the artist from Soc-Car, Andy, created this game from scratch at the 24 hour Derry gamecraft in Sept 2013. It was really challenging for me being the only dev and not been too experienced! But was absolutely delighted to win "Best Party Game", I think one of the main selling point was the use of my controller library More Controllers Please (https://github.com/witnessmenow/MoreControllersPlease), we were able to have 16 + concurrent players on the Ouya!

Nintendo were at this gamecraft, and one of their guys was super impressed that he could control it with his 3ds!

Basically it is a really simple party game. You are on an ice arena where you are trying to knock opponents off the edge. There are 8 unique characters.

I actually kinda forgot about it for a while! I loaded the code up becuase I wanted something from it, said I'd give it a run and though "This actually looks pretty good!"

So there is a bit of work left to release it on the Ouya, but nothing major, so expect it soon!

I will also be releasing this as open source on my github, you can find the code here (https://github.com/witnessmenow/Playscape).

Nice nice! I hope folks will take advantage of this and create some awesome party games.

Definitely a great resource. Hopefully someone will pick it up and run with it.

Wow! Looks fantastic given it was put together in so little time. Throw in some boost items or level changes (like tilt or rotation) and you're in the upper class with BombSquad and Towerfall!

...a library that allows more players AND more controllers?!?

...do you mind at all if I use that library?

EDIT: Oh, forgot to ask, do you have a release date set yet, or is it still just "when it's finished?"

Of course you can!

Basically what it does is host a mini webserver within your game. Devices like phones or laptops connect to the webserver and they are presented controller webpages. These can be preconfigured ones, or they can be custom pages.

It also does not need to be limited to be just "controllers", the last gamecraft I did, me and a few friends created a game where one or multiple people would be playing on the Ouya and one or multiple players could be playing on phones. The players on the phone had a little mini game to complete and the faster the completed the mini game the harder the game got for the players on the Ouya.

EDIT: Link to the code for the above game here (https://github.com/garyodonoghue/GlitchPerfect)

I would be delighted to give anyone looking to include it in their game a hand integrating it. Is your game written in java?

~EDIT: More info on the library here (http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?4429-quot-More-Controllers-Please-quot-a-library-to-use-mobile-devices-as-controllers-WIP)

Well, my game doesn't exist yet, but my game engine is in Java. Something like that would be a nice gimmick to play around with, though I don't see myself using it for anything other than another controller for my main project. I'll see if I can get that mini game you mentioned working with my phone later, it sounds really interesting (seriously, this is the first external library in a long time that I've actually wanted to use...).

Let me know if you need anything Gravity!

Pushed some changes to the branch there, tidy up of how the art is handled, now drawing a score board and the timer.
